Foreningen Bergen Kringkaster has succeeded in leasing the LKB/LLE former Bergen Kringkaster/Broadcasting Station at Erdal for a period of 10 years from Askøy Kommune!

We have also recently applied for test broadcasts on three AM/MW frequencies plus on short wave. At the moment we are on the air over ham station LA1ASK on 3725 kHz each Sunday morning. Hopefully our application will be granted by the Norvegian Post & Telecommunications Authority (Post & Teletilsynet). We will not use the frequencies formerly used, 890 and 1115 kHz, or the two remaining original transmitters (Telefunken and Marconi) as they are not available. But we still have two 250 W MW/AM transmitters formerly used by NRK, LLU Odda, Western Electric and LLT Geilo, Tech Labs, both formerly used on 1466 kHz. We also have four old 10-100 W transmitters. In addition we have NRK Glomfjord 1484 (LKQ2) which does not look too good, however: The old transmitting masts have been taken down but we will erect new aerials.

We are happy to accept new members from ARC and other interested enthusiasts and we hope that knowledgeable radio buffs can help us to get on the air. This is a non-profit project.
If you are interested you can contact us by phone +47 950 67890 or +47 56 33 13 62 as well as by email post@bergenkringkaster.no (Svenn Martinsen, ARC and Foreningen Bergen Kringkaster)
