ARC Newsflash: Twoje Radio, Kraków heard in Sweden

POLAND Twoje Radio AM, Krakόw (the main station of the network) on 1602 kHz was heard with a strong signal on May 31st, 2010 between 2159 -2205 UTC with local identification. The power is 800 watts. The distance Växjö – Krakόw is approx. 800 kms. (Bengt Ericson, ARC, Växjö)

ARC Newsflash: New Polish Twoje Radio station on the air on 1584 kHz

POLAND 1584 kHz A new Twoje Radio station has recently started on 1584 kHz. Heard for the first time by me on May 17th. Identification ”Twoje Radio AM, Slupsk……….. 1584 kHz”.

The station has 0.8 kW, but still no local programming, but it will probably soon start. Normally the local evening program is 1500 – 1600 UTC.

The signal is very good due to the location near the Polish coast only 300 kms southeast of Växjö. The station was identified thanks to assistance from Hasse Mattisson. (Bengt Ericson, ARC, Växjö)

ARC Newsflash: Bulgaria 594 / Twoje Radio AM

594 kHz Bulgaria now closes down at 2100 UTC. In Finland FRCN Kaduna has been heard after 2100 UTC by Mauno Ritola on this frequency. In Växjö the fq is covered by HR-Info.
1062 kHz Several Twoje Radio AM-stations can be heard in the evening under Italy and Czechia with the cuckoo clock interval signal on the hour. One of them has been identified by Jim Solatie of Finland as Twoje Radio Jaroslaw. It is located in south-east Poland near the town of Rseszow. It was heard at 1900 UTC. Power is 500 watts. Best reception in Sweden is around midnight local time when Italy closes down. (Bengt Ericson, Växjö, Sweden/ARC)
