Heard in Fredriksfors Feb 4 - 8 - some Brazilians on 7th.

On February 4th. it was only towards 01 that some Puerto Ricans started to go, but weak signals. At 02 there was also Colombia on several frequencies, as well as some more common Peruvians starting to go. After 04 also a lot of east coast NA but also more and more interference

On 5th. the sun had "spit itself up" again but I was still at 285 degrees. Not good. Harbour Light was the only one to go fairly stable during the night. "Most of it" (NA east coast, Puerto Rico, Colombia), which in this case was not much. Weak signals, even worse and noisier towards the morning.

On 6th. it was not at all successful after switching to the ungrounded 255 degreer. Few signals and weak signals. Some Brazilians (with football) at 00 – 01. A bit mixed the rest of the night but nothing good and nothing seemingly interesting.

7th. there were some weak signals from Brazil during the early night, but got better at 02 and a couple of hours ahead Also some from Argentina. Around 04 signals also from some from Uruguay and Paraguay but most of them far too weak. Very poor on higher frequencies.

8th. it was probably wrong to stay on 255 degrees, but maybe it didn't matter, because there was a lot of noise and crackling. Some from Brazil, Paraguay on 920 and 970. But towards the morning it was Colombia on e.g. 1580 and 1590, Canada on 590 and 1140 and Greenland on 570 and 650...

Heard in Fredriksfors Jan 31 - Feb 3 - Many NA-stations butt to disturbed

January 30^th. No recording

31^st.the 285-degreer sounded different compared to lately. A lot of NA and with good strength until after 00 UTC. CBG on 1400 has hardly been heard at all this season, but now dominated completely. Before 01, however, almost all NA;s were gone - now it was R Nacional, Buenos Aires on 870 and R Nacional Asunción on 920, weak Spanish speakers a little "here and there". 03 mostly NA again but also increasing noise and already after 05 the signals started to disappear.

February 1^st. it was almost only NA, but also noisier again and thus difficult to identufy. Remarkable, however, that the Seattle station KNWN went quite well on our 285-degreer. Around 00 there were some Peruvians too, but a little too weak to get through the noise..

2^nd. fewer NA signals and perhaps also a little more interference than the day before. Towards morning, more and more Spanish speakers on higher frequencies. Among them were some peruvians, who would have been really interesting if the interference hadn't made it impossible.

3^rd.. Stations on most channels, at least when you start getting above 800 kHz, but with a strong noise at the bottom that forces the signals up to at least -85 dB if there is to be any possibility of id in most cases, you don't get that much anyway. Few of what can be called "interesting" reach that strength. Sad to get so little out when there are such pretty good conditions against NA.

Heard in Fredrikfors Jan 25 - 29 - too much interference

On January 25th. nothing from the other side of the Atlantic made it through the interference fog, not even WEGA or Harbour Light. Judging by the carriers it probably didn't matter – there wouldn't have been anything audible on a interference-free band either...

On 26th. the feeling was that there wasn't as much noise and crackling, especially towards morning, but that didn't help much. Another night without a single transatlantic signal to be added to the record.

On 27th. I started to wonder if it was really "just" the conditions that were completely under the ice because nothing was heard at all other than terrible interference for the fourth night. At 00 in any case Harbour Light 1400 and Caribbean Lighthouse 1160 came, an hour later also WEGA 1350. Not good, but at least signals. At 02 also Ideal 1130. 04 WEDP R Isla 1490 and 06 actually several stations from 1400 and upwards albeit quite distorted. The disturbances are probably not just what the Delsbo community is causing anymore. The antenna is also damaged, even though it seems to be full length and intact, the 105 degree reverse direction does not work and it is still on the ground under a couple of trees and there under half a meter of snow.

On 28th. there were a few stations that according to the carriers were strong enough that they should have come through reasonably well, but there is far too much interference that drowns out the noise. At the same time, the status of the antenna has probably meant that the signals have also become significantly weaker.

On 29th. about ten NAs went through, of which six of them were "readable" at 02, but they disappeared about as quickly as they appeared. Then it was just noise and crackling until around 07 when WEDP went strong on 1490. Carraviz 1570 and Uniminuto 1580 went quite well too. Signal on many other "high" frequencies, but the interference took over.
